South Texas guitarist Mario Aleman will perform at PalmFest 2010. His musical performances are exciting and a great addition to the PalmFest line up of local talents. CD's will be available for purchase!

Mario's second solo effort, entitled "Soulspeak", and it's a compilation of original arrangements created over the previous couple of years. Bigger in terms of arrangement and production than his first release, "Acoustic Poetry", Aleman spent a lot more time on this project. Aleman states, "Personally, it was very spiritual. Lots of discipline involved. It took a lot of discipline just to follow through with every decision made, not only during the writing and recording process of the album, but everything else involved." "Soulspeak"'s tracks are all instrumental and are done in a rumba flamenco fusion style - very lyrical, melodic, exciting, and soul stirring.

Nidia Quintanilla - up and coming Christian singer to perform at PalmFest!

Nidia Quintanilla is gifted with a great voice that she has cultivated over a number of years in the music industry. Anyone that hears her music, will realize that she has tremendous potential in her genre of popular Christian music. In this category Nidia really makes the grade with her new CD, Cielo Abierto, including Spanish pop-rock Christian selections.

Her musical career started early with singing in the local church choir where she matured into a soloist and also performing at other area churches. She ranges easily and can perform seemingly without effort, giving her the freedom to be emotionally driven by the song and demonstrate her inspiration. Nidia, who earned a B.A. in Music from UTPA in 2000, keeps a busy schedule and has served as a conference speaker, trainer for worship teams and as past professor and academic director for Canzion Institute McAllen. She is currently a private music teacher and serves her church as worship leader for their Saturday night services. She resides in McAllen with her husband Omar and son, Joaquin. For more information on this talented local performer go to: www.myspace.com/nidiaquintanilla.
